General Rules and Terms and Conditions – BBC Production Music ‘UEFA Women’s Euro 2025’ Competition (the “Competition”)

 

1.      The Competition will be communicated by Universal Publishing Production Music Limited (“Promoter”) via a private email circulation (the “Competition Email”) to the Promoter’s existing database contacts of commercial users of the Promoter’s music library including employees of commercial users of the Promoter’s music library (a “Registered Client”) and Registered Clients will have the option to enter the Competition.

2.      Opening date for entries is 13.00pm on 9th July 2025. Closing date for entries is 12:00pm on 25th July 2025.

3.      The Competition is open to all citizens of the UK of 18 years of age and over, who is a Registered Client. The Competition is open to all employees of the British Broadcasting Corporation, its associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies.   The Competition is not open to employees of the Promoter and its associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families or agents.  

4.      Entry limited to one per person.

5.      No purchase is necessary but entrants should be aware that they may be subject to local call charges, depending on their own individual arrangements for Internet access.

6.      SELECTION: Entrants to the Competition must follow any instructions contained in the Competition Email and submit the correct answer to the question stated in the Competition Email (each an “Eligible Entrant”). All Eligible Entrants will be entered into the Competition and two (2) prize winners will be selected at random after the Competition closing date among the Eligible Entrants which have submitted the correct answer (each a “Winner”).  An Eligible Entrant must be an individual resident in the UK, and a Registered Client of the Promoter. The details provided by the Eligible Entrant in their entry will be the identity of the Eligible Entrant and, if selected for the Prize (as defined in clause 9 below) the identity of the Winners of the Competition. Promoter reserves the right to reject any entry and/or refuse any Winners of the Prize and/ or to require entrants to provide proof of their age.

7.      Promoter will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries. Promoter will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an Eligible Entrant’s ability to participate in the Competition. Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of this Competition including without limitation any loss caused by any errors or changes made by third party providers. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by their employees or agents’ negligence or for fraud.

8.      By entering, Eligible Entrants to the Competition and the Winners agree to release and hold harmless the Promoter their parents, subsidiaries and affiliated entities, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents and representatives from any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand or other liability that may arise from their acceptance and/or use of the Prize or their participation in this Competition or from any misuse or malfunction of the Prize or any alternate prize awarded (if applicable).

9.      Promoter reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude Eligible Entrants and/or Winners and withhold prizes for violating any of these General Rules and the Terms and Conditions and for reasons of obscenity, defamation and/or invasion of privacy. Promoter reserves the right to amend these General Rules. Any amendments will be published on the Competition Email. The Promoter’s decision on the Winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

10.    Prizes:

(i)     First Prize: one (1) football shirt of the winner’s choosing from the 2025/2026 football season

(ii)    Joint First Prize:  one (1) football shirt of the winner’s choosing from the 2025/2026 football season

11.    Each Prize, at the Promoter’s discretion, will be either (i) delivered in person by an employee of the Promoter, (ii) delivered by post to the Winners (iii) delivered by email to the Winners (if applicable) or (iv) delivered by a third party to the Winners on behalf of the Promoter. In the event that the Promoter is unable to arrange for delivery of the Prize or its equivalent to the Winner, the Promoter shall use its reasonable efforts to provide the Winner with a material equivalent of the Prize for delivery to the Winner. The Winners may be required to show ID upon delivery of the Prize in accordance with the above.

 

12.    Two (2) Winners of the Competition will be drawn from the pool of Eligible Entrants on 25th July 2025.   All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact each of the two (2) Winners within 48 hours of selection. If a Winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours on their email address, phone number or social media handle supplied by the Eligible Entrant with their entry, the Promoter reserves the right to select another Eligible Entrant.

13.    There are two (2) Prizes maximum to be won by two (2) Winners maximum each in the Competition, there is no other alternative to the Prizes stated and the Prizes are not transferable and no part or parts of the Prize may be substituted for other benefits, cash, items or additions.  In the event that a Prize is a voucher then each voucher may only be used once and will need to be spent all in one go before 10th January 2026.

14.    Uses of personal data received by Promoter in the course of the Competition are subject to the privacy policy http://www.umusic.co.uk/privacy.html. The Winner’s name may be published on the Promoter’s verified social media accounts and/or via email a private email circulation to the Promoter’s existing Registered Client database.

15.    By entering the Competition all Eligible Entrants are deemed to have accepted and be bound by these General Rules.  

16.    Promoter reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the Competition (including altering Prizes) if, in our sole discretion, a Competition is not capable of being conducted as specified.

17.    If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

18.    These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

19.    The promoter of this Competition is Universal Publishing Production Music Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with number [01568581].
